This listing is for a vintage large chamber Bb tenor saxophone mouthpiece. There is no brand name, nor any other markings on it. It looks like a Martin blank to me (possibly unmarked because it came with a stencil sax), but I'm not 100% certain that is what it is, so please check out the pictures carefully and make your own determination.
This mouthpiece most likely dates to the 1920's or 30's. The design is typical of that era. It has a large round chamber, and deeply scooped inner side walls. It is made of hard rubber, not plastic. The tip opening is larger than I would have expected for a mouthpiece of this style/age, measuring in at .085", so it might have been re-faced/opened up.
This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The facing (tip, table, and rails) is perfectly smooth. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. There is some minor scuffing/gouging on the exterior side of the mouthpiece (see pic #9), but this won't affect how it plays. The rubber is faded/discolored from age, but again, that has no affect on how it plays. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!
    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
