his listing is for a vintage soprano saxophone mouthpiece. There is no brand name on it, nor any country of origin (so it is probably from the USA). This mouthpiece has design characteristics consistent with the pre WWII era, so I'd guess it is from roughly that era. These include a large round chamber, and deeply scooped inner side walls. It is made from hard rubber, not plastic. The tip opening is .055". For reference, that is equal to a modern Otto Link 5*.
This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The tip, table, and rails are smooth. There are no indentations on the bite plate. It is still black and shiny. I'm not sure what the deal is with the white dot on the table...it almost seems like there is something inlaid in the mouthpiece, but I have no idea what or why. It isn't visible from the inside though. This piece has been cleaned/sanitized.
This is a really nice player. It speaks easily in all registers, and has a nice warm tone that is spread, and on the dark side. This would be a perfect match for any pre-WWII era soprano, which tend to require large chamber mouthpieces for proper tuning.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!
    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
