Vintage Berg Larsen 100/2 SMS 'Select' Hard Rubber Mouthpiece for Tenor Sax
This is a vintage Berg Larsen 100/2 SMS “Select” in hard rubber for tenor saxophone. The piece dates back to the 1980's. It has seen a decent amount of play time in the past and shows a indentation on the lower part of the beak. The rest of the body and shank are in good shape as is the facing profile.
There is not a ton of info out there about the Select pieces. However, it should be noted this piece in particular is a pretty bright player. Most of the /2 Bergs that come through the shop tend to be darker. This piece is very much a bright player and also showcases a lot of projection.
The tip opening on this piece measures .100”.
