This listing is for a vintage large chamber baritone saxophone mouthpiece. It is marked "All-Star USA" on top. All-Star was a brand name used by Conn for mouthpieces included with the Pan American line of instruments. Pan Am was Conn's 'second line'. This mouthpiece appears to be identical (aside from the branding) to the Conn 'Standard Steelay' model, which came with the main line, or pro level, horns.
The design of this mouthpiece is typical of the pre-WWII era. It has a very large round chamber, and deeply scooped inner side walls. This one is interesting because it has a fairly prominent 'clam-shell' style roll over baffle, which gives it just a little bit of bite. It is made of hard rubber, not plastic. It is marked "5" on the side. The tip opening of this piece is relatively close, measuring in at .074", so you would need to use a fairly stiff reed on it. Alternatively, this would probably be a great one to send to your favorite re-facer for customization.
This piece is in excellent condition. The tip, table, and rails are perfectly smooth. There is some minor scuffing, but no tooth indentations on the beak. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!

    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
