With 75 being the normal tip size for these Ed just smoothed balanced and optimized things.
I am a big fan of his work and one of the hallmarks of it is that he does very little to a piece and yet improves it a great deal.
Other refacers I know have seen his work and been impressed with how good it is and how little he does to them.
