If you own the Cooper S model with the Turbocharged engine, we
STRONGLY
recommend you change the motor oil more frequently than the factory recommendation. Anecdotal evidence suggests Turbo's with more frequent oil changes have fewer issues. We suggest
5000 mile oil change interval
or less. Make sure you use FULL SYNTHETIC motor oil with the ACEA (Association des Constructeurs Europeens d'Automobiles) A3/B3 specification.
Engine capacity for motor oil is 4.4 quarts.
