Description
New York Meyer Bros Tru-Flex Alto Saxophone mouthpiece. This is the first New York Meyer ever made. Ike Quebec played a metal one for tenor. This is very similar to a reso chamber. This is clearly been refaced but I don't know who did the work. Whoever did, it's impeccable. Most of these have completely flat tables after refacing, because the design of the table certainly can have its drawbacks. However collectors do look for that table. This is the best of both worlds because there still is a level of concavity, and the inscription in the groove is still very readable. This is an excellent example of this vintage. Measures .070"
