    Description

    Lionel ZW 275 Watt Transformer
    has enough power to run 4 trains or, as most railroaders do, run two trains and, with 20 volt output at all terminals, have sufficient power for accessories.
    This transformer is the Model "R" that looks great and runs great. The Model "R" is an upgrade by Lionel to do away with the annoying hum that many of the earlier ZWs had. Lionel accomplished this by fusing the individual cooling fins together thereby preventing vibration of the fins which caused the hum.
    This unit was a trade in at Milepost 38 in Westminster, CA. Although in excellent condition overall, the "A" throttle was broken and the power cord was frayed. I installed a brand new throttle and new power cord with the "L" on the plug.
    It was tested for power and whistles. All terminals were 20 volts or above and whistles were loud and clear.
