Lionel MPC No. 6-4090 Type 1044 "Multi Control" 90-Watt Transformer, Boxed

Description

Lionel MPC No.  6-4090 Type 1033 "Multi Control" Safety 90-Watt Transformer with the original box.  In my opinion, this transformer was unsold Lionel Corporation stock that was re-packaged for sale by Lionel MPC.  The transformer is complete and is in like new condition.  The graphics on the face plate are very bright and clean.  There are no cracks or chips in the Bakelite  case or the plastic handles.  The transformer puts out 0-11 volts or 5-16 volts variable alternating current (AC).  The transformer also puts out 5, 11, and 16 volts fixed AC.  This transformer also has direction control and whistle control.  Included is the original warranty card and a CTC Lock-on.  The filled out warranty card indicates that the transformer was purchased on December 23, 1972.  The transformer was tested and all functions work as designed.  The transformer has the original cord and plug.  The cord was inspected and it shows no sign of deterioration.  The cord does have a residue on the rubber surface.  The original box is complete and is in excellent condition.  The two glued-on labels are intact.  This is a very clean transformer that is ready to be put into service.
