A never utilized, included with set from 2013, tested good, Lionel 14198 CW-80 AC 80 Watt Transformer with Whistle, Bell & Direction controls and Accessory power terminals
for O/027 gauge or S gauge AC trains.
This is the Lionel standard high power single train transformer and was included in many higher end sets for nearly 18 years (until LionChief.) It features 80 Watts of AC power, Horn/ Whistle, Bell and Direction buttons, Power & Overload indicator lamp, large orange track power throttle control, variable/ programmable AC accessory voltage with separate terminals and weighs in at a hefty 6 lbs.
This transformer provides sufficient power to run any Lionel engine (both old & new) while also providing power to some layout accessories.
Additionally, it is a fine alternate power source for the LionChief line of engines / trains as well as TMCC/Legacy.
The variable / programmable accessory power can be set between 0-18 volts and it "remembers" this setting even after the transformer is un-plugged.  Separate accessory terminals on the rear make connections easy and share a common ground (black) with the track terminals to make accessory wiring easier.
Works with O/027 gauge 3 rail trains from Lionel, MTH, K-Line, Williams, Weaver, etc and is also a fine layout transformer for AC "S" gauge.
Comes with a copy of the Lionel instruction manual, box from set and hook-up wires.
