Extremely Rare Cowbell quad array ultimate vintage trapset accessory COLLECTABLE. Condition is "Used"
This has to be the most rare cowbell set-up trap accessory I have ever seen. Beautiful piece of percussion history is definitely a manufactured piece as it is tuned to a perfect major chord 1-3-5-1 - E, G#, B, E, not just random bells. The patina and construction is also identical on each bell. This perfect "matched" tuned set of 4 would be used musically like tuned temple blocks on a vintage 20s set. If this is not the worlds only existing example please let us know.
Story
Sorry, I cannot remember where I found this piece. I can say most of my vintage drum collecting took place 30-40 years ago and this has been with me since then. I have not put any play time on this as it has been a show piece on one on my antique sets.
Construction
The bells are fastened by two treaded rods that continue through the wood mounting block to the final small bell. Each bell is locked into place with nuts and probably some kind of rubber washer as the tone rings out nicely with good sustain. The bells are steel with a braised brass coating that causes a remarkably rich patina.
Condition
Condition is excellent as pictured. It is a relic of sorts but very stable, secure, and ready for action or the drum show!
This piece would certainly be the ultimate feature on a tricked out vintage 20s-30s style drum set. A "one of kind" addition to a serious drum collection and an incredible working trap for the player that has it all. A percussive conversation piece of epic proportions.
Truly, a vintage piece for the most prestigious collection!
