his listing is for a Berg Larsen metal (stainless steel) baritone saxophone mouthpiece.
This one is relatively old...maybe 'vintage' depending on your definition of the term as it relates to Bergs.  It has the horizontal/arched mill marks on the table (indicating it is older than the current production variation), but the "M" on the shank is inline with the other markings, so it isn't super old.
I would guess that this piece was made in the late 1970's, or 80's.
This Berg is a "straight bill" type, which has the bullet shaped drop off of the the baffle into the chamber. It
is stamped 100 1 M on the shank.
The "M" indicates the medium facing curve (sometimes referred to as the 'American' curve). This is somewhat misleading though, because Berg only offered two curve options, so there really isn't a middle one. In reality, the "M" curve is the longer of the two available options. The "1" indicates the baffle height on a scale of 0-3, with 0 being the highest, and 3 the lowest. That means this would be the 2nd brightest sounding Berg. Lastly, 100 represents the tip opening. Like most older Bergs, this one measures .005" smaller than the number would suggest. The actual tip opening of this one is .095"
This mouthpiece is in excellent used condition. It has never been dropped or damaged, nor has it been worked on or altered. The facing is all original, and perfectly smooth. There is just a hint of oxidation on the table. The shank is perfectly round. The bite plate is free of indentations. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized.
Also included with this listing is the original ligature. The ligature is in excellent condition as well. It has not been bent out of shape, and there are no cracks. The screws work properly. Unfortunately I don't have the original cap.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!
    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
