    Description

These High Quality Components are a common Problem with some HVAC  ECM  Motors for Evaporator Fans. Some Modules are mounted away from the motor and these components  tend to fail with In Rush current.
    My example was a GE
ECM 2.3 Programmable Blower Motor 3/4HP 120/240V that left my house Miserable with
    NO AIR CONDITIONING.
    See Last two Pictures !
My HVAC supplier told me the ECM Module was OBSOLETE and I would need to Replace the entire Motor and Control ECM.
This was going to be Very Expensive$$$ plus a week to two weeks delivery time.
I researched where my Problem was and Replaced the
    Component
on the ECM Board and within a couple hours my Air Conditioning was back in Service.
    NOT
    GUARANTEED
to Solve all Problem. See Last Picture for How Obvious my
    Component
had Failed. Replacing this does not work 100% of the time, as other problems could result from this
    Component
    Failing.
For Twelve Dollars, it is worth a try and if it does solve your issue, you will have a Spare!
NOTE: Your Component must be the EXACT same Part Number.
Do not try to Interchange with a different Part Number due to the Current /Voltage Rating.
Refer to the Datsheet for this Component.
Other manufacturers may cross over if it is sized the same as this one.

    Overview
Ametherm  Inrush Current Limiters absorbs high amounts of inrush current when electrical equipment is turned on by offering a high resistance to current and quickly decreasing in resistance once steady state current begins to flow through the thermistor. The  Inrush Current Limiters are specially designed thermistors able to withstand up to 20 amperes of continuous current and 260 joules of input energy. Applications include switching power supplies,ECM Variable Motors for HVAC Evaporator Motors,  AC motors, uninterruptible power supplies, and frequency generators.
