    Description

    This is a Vintage American Flyer Lines Model 8B Railroad Transformer.
    I was unable to test this unit, but it powered right up. Everything seems to work as it should: the green light lit right up, the push-button, the main dials, and the three terminal screws all move freely and easily, and the two-prong non-grounded cord is supple and intact. I am selling this piece “as is” and as a collectible.
    Here is everything it says on it: Miles Per Hour, American Flyer Lines, UL (seal), Model 8B Transformer, The A.C., Gilbert Co., 100 Watts, New Haven, Conn., Made in U.S.A., 115 Volts, 50/60 Cycle Alternating Current Only,15 V. Only, Base Post 7 to 15 V., 218739 (on bottom).

    This transformer is in good condition, but it does show expected wear consistent with age. It is old and it looks old! Basically, it looks as it does in the photos…
